iPhone 5s: Use Touch ID

Overview of Touch ID
With the new technology identification Touch ID unlock your iPhone 5s easier - you know the phone fingerprint.
Touch ID - a convenient way to use the fingerprint as a password. One touch "Home" on the iPhone 5s enough to wear Touch ID quickly thought your fingerprint and automatically unlock your phone. Setting Touch ID
Configure
sensor Touch ID, you can either setup assistant in iOS, or in the menu
Settings> General> Touch ID and password> Touch ID. To adjust the Touch ID, you must first set a password. Sensor Touch ID is designed to minimize the use of a password. Nevertheless password is required for additional security checks, including the registration of new prints.
To register a fingerprint, follow these steps.
Make sure that the "Home" and the finger are clean and dry.
Keep your iPhone as you would normally hold it by pressing the "Home".
Put
your finger on the button "Home" and not remove it until you feel a
short vibration or until the device will ask you to remove your finger.

If
you accidentally had a finger and moved to the password entry screen,
you can still unlock your iPhone using the Touch ID (if you have not
used five unsuccessful attempts to fingerprint recognition).
Sensor Touch ID only recognizes fingerprints that have been registered. With the menu Settings> General> Touch ID and password> Touch ID, you can register up to five fingerprints.
With the registration of each additional fingerprint recognition fingerprint Touch ID function will take more time.
Fingerprint Identification Touch ID instead of entering a password
Touch ID feature allows you to unlock your phone without having to enter a password every time. There are two ways to unlock via Touch ID.
Press once "Home" to bring iPhone 5s from sleep and rest your finger on the button without pressing it.
Press once "Sleep / Wake" to bring iPhone 5s from sleep mode, and then touch your finger with no effort button "Home".
If the sensor Touch ID will not recognize your finger, you will be prompted to try again. After three attempts, you will be prompted for a password. After two more attempts to enter a password will be required. In addition, a password is required to unlock the iPhone in the following cases:
after restarting iPhone 5s;
if since the last release iPhone 5s have passed more than 48 hours;
to go to the «Touch ID and password."
Identification Touch ID for purchases in iTunes Store, App Store and iBooks Store
Touch
ID function can also be used instead of entering Apple ID password when
making purchases in stores iTunes Store, App Store and iBooks Store.
If this is not done, turn the setting «iTunes Store, App Store» in Settings> General> Touch ID and password> Touch ID. If this option is grayed out, make sure your Apple ID identifier entered in Settings> iTunes Store, App Store.
To purchase content using Touch ID, follow these steps.
Open store iTunes Store, App Store or iBooks Store.
Select a program, song, video, or a book for sale.
Instead of requiring the password Apple ID will be prompted to scan your fingerprint Touch ID. No force is applied to the button "Home" one finger, which was recorded when you set up. Content will be purchased.
With each purchase you will be prompted to scan your fingerprint.
If the sensor Touch ID will not recognize your finger, you will be prompted to try again. After five unsuccessful attempts, you will be prompted to enter your password Apple ID. In addition, Apple ID password entry will be required:
after restarting iPhone 5s;
after enrollment, or remove them.
Note. Identification
Touch ID can not be used for purchases, if the "Request password" in
Settings> General> Restrictions set to "Immediately."
Sensor Cleaning Touch ID
Uncontaminated Touch ID sensor detects prints much faster. If necessary, remove debris and dirt from the button "Home" with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Manage Fingerprints and settings
In Settings> General> Touch ID and password> Touch ID, you can:
enable or disable the Touch ID to be used instead of the password and for purchases from the iTunes Store and App Store;
register new prints;
use the "Edit" to rename already registered fingerprints;
delete a fingerprint using swipe gesture.
If
you have registered a few prints, you can put your finger to the button
"Home" to see how to imprint in the list is associated. If the finger coincide with any imprint on the list that will be highlighted in a short time.
Troubleshooting Touch ID
Make sure you are using the latest version of the operating system iOS.
Make sure your fingers are clean and dry and the button "Home". *
Note. It should completely cover the finger button "Home". Do not push it too hard, or hard and do not move a finger until the sensor Touch ID scans. Make sure that the finger touches the metal rim of the button "Home".
If you are using a protective cover or protective film for the screen, then they should not close the "Home" and its outer rim. Otherwise, remove the cover or protective film and try again.
Go to Settings> General> Touch ID and password> Touch ID and make sure that:
setting "Unlock iPhone» or «iTunes Store, App Store» active;
registered at least one fingerprint.
If
the fingerprint is not recognized, click Settings> General> Touch
ID and password> Touch ID> Edit to remove and then re-register
the fingerprint.
If this does not help, try to enroll another finger.
If
you can not enroll any of your fingers, you should take your iPhone 5s
Retail Store Apple Store, Authorized Service Provider Apple or contact
your service AppleCare.
* Moisture, sweat, use lotions and oils, cuts and dry skin can make it difficult to fingerprint recognition. Some
of your actions also may temporarily affect the reading of prints,
including exercise, taking a bath, swimming, cooking, as well as other
conditions and actions affecting the shape of fingerprints.
